Amelie Oshikoya, MD

Dr. Amelie Oshikoya is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician, licensed in Florida, Kentucky, Georgia, and Michigan. With a distinguished career across various healthcare settings, including primary care, inpatient services, and hospice and palliative care, Dr. Oshikoya exemplifies a profound commitment to both patient care and medical education.

Dr. Oshikoya has held key academic roles throughout her career, notably serving as Chief Medical Resident and Assistant Professor of Medicine. Her contributions to medical education are significant, as she has been instrumental in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. Currently, Dr. Oshikoya is an Assistant Professor at the Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine (OCOM), where she also serves as Regional Site Director. Her responsibilities include faculty onboarding and course leadership in telemedicine, pulmonary medicine, and case-based learning (CBL).

In her role as a Medical Consultant with Comprehensive Medical Consulting, Dr. Oshikoya leverages her extensive expertise in medical record and peer review. She consults with hospital risk management teams and medical malpractice insurance counsel, providing critical insights through case reviews and medical coding analysis.

Dr. Oshikoya has been recognized for her service and leadership through several prestigious awards, including the University of Florida Outstanding Young Alumni Award, the Samuel D. Harris Award for Excellence in Pulmonary Medicine, and the Willard and Violet Marcus

Memorial College of Medicine Award. She is also a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and has received the Combined Federal Campaign Award for Outstanding Service to the Community. As a testament to her leadership, she was inducted into the University of Florida’s Hall of Fame.

Beyond her clinical and academic achievements, Dr. Oshikoya holds a Master’s in Health Administration, underscoring her strong foundation in healthcare management. At OCOM, she plays a pivotal role in developing the onboarding process for medical departments, enhancing the recruitment and integration of new faculty.

Dr. Oshikoya’s unwavering commitment to excellence and her passion for advancing healthcare make her a highly valued educator, clinician, and consultant. Outside of her professional life, she is happily married and enjoys exploring the culinary scene with her husband, whom she met at the University of Florida. One of her cherished memories is celebrating with him after being crowned UF’s Homecoming Queen during her senior year.
