Technical Standards and OCOM Policies
Applicants are required to meet the Technical Standards, including required immunizations for healthcare workers, for admission and continued enrollment, and affirm that the applicant meets the standards. Any falsification or misinformation (e.g., not disclosing prior matriculation, a known, pre-existing issue which would lead to not meeting the Technical Standards) regarding the ability to meet technical standards is a reason for rescinding the offer of admission or after matriculation, dismissal from the program.
Applicants must submit all required paperwork per deadlines. If paperwork is not submitted as required, an offer of admission may be retracted.
See OCOM Technical Standards Policy and the Health and Vaccination Requirements Policy.
Non-Discrimination Admission Policy
It is the firm policy of OCOM not to discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, national origin, age or disabilities, religion, or any other characteristic protected by law, except where appropriate and authorized by law.
The Office of Admissions makes every effort to recruit students with diverse backgrounds to foster cultural richness to meet its mission, goals, and objectives. Please refer to the OCOM Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy.
Americans with Disabilities Act
OCOM operates in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, with Title II Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA), to assure its facilities, programs, and student policies are accessible to individuals with disabilities. Applicants and students with specific needs who request or are planning to request an accommodation under the ADA should contact the Office of Student Services. You can review the OCOM Student Disability Accommodations and Access Policy D055 here.
