2021-2026 Strategic Plan

Overview

The Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine (OCOM) first began development in 2019 and was officially founded in 2021. The founding leadership team, with the input of stakeholders embarked on a journey to develop the initial Strategic Plan for OCOM that will guide OCOM from 2021-2026.  This strategic plan addresses strategic objectives and key actions the founding leadership team and stakeholders feels will advance the mission of OCOM and meet the objectives of the organization while giving outstanding service to the students, faculty, and staff. The document reflects a significant effort from all involved.

Development of the Strategic Plan

The OCOM Strategic Plan was an iterative process that was developed over several months utilizing the skills and experience of the OCOM leadership and relevant stakeholders.

Evaluation and Engagement in Continuous Quality Improvement

Strategic planning will involve evaluation by the participating group through a process of relating outcomes to goals. Each year, the strategic planning team will meet to examine progress, assess alignment, and make necessary updates.

Strategic Goal 1:

Construct an Environment that Fosters the Development of Service-Oriented Osteopathic Physicians.

Incorporate Evidence-Based Principles and Practices into Medical Education as well as Innovative Technologies, Advance Research and other Scholarly Activity to Train Caring and Competent Osteopathic Physicians.
