Katie Faulkner, Medical Education Coordinator, collaborates closely with faculty, staff, and students to facilitate the smooth execution of OCOM’s educational initiatives. Drawing on 12 years of experience teaching high school Anatomy & Physiology and Biology, she brings a deep passion for the life sciences and a wealth of educational expertise to her role. She helps maintain the learning management system, facilitates exams, and assists faculty in uploading materials. Katie earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of West Florida and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Medical Anatomy and Physiology from UF. This academic foundation directly enhances her role in supporting faculty and students at OCOM. 

Currently, Katie also serves as the Chair of the Staff Organization and is a member of the Dean’s Council, proudly representing the voice and interests of all OCOM staff members.

Outside of her work with OCOM's doctors and students, she is an incredibly proud mom to her son, a U.S. Marine, and her daughter, a Music Education graduate who performs in various shows around Orlando. When she's not cuddling with her three Yorkies, she loves spending her free time exploring Disney and trying fun treats with her husband and adult children.
