William P. Orr, CAA

Bill Orr is an Anesthesiologist Assistant by training and has spent the last 25 years practicing and teaching in the field of anesthesiology. This teaching experience includes 6 years on faculty with Nova Southeastern University’s AA programs in Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa. During this time Mr. Orr was a member of the founding faculty at both programs and was founding Program Director at the Tampa AAP.

Mr. Orr has been in healthcare his entire professional career spanning over 34 years, including his service in the Army National Guard. He began training as a Combat Medical Specialist and his service roles included: medical platoon training NCO, Combat Lifesaver course instructor and trac-mounted evacuation NCO/trac commander.

His passion for education led he and his partners to form Halo Education in 2018 to further the access to healthcare and promote the Anesthesiologist Assistant profession through the education of healthcare professionals. This led to his current roles as a principal at Global Health Initiative and Medical Impact Partners, a company dedicated to promoting the education of quality allied health and medical professionals across the nation.

He received his undergraduate education at Darton College and Albany State College graduating with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in chemistry. Mr. Orr completed his graduate education in anesthesiology at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia, earning the Master of Medical Science degree in Anesthesiology.

He is affiliated with many hospitals including H Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute and Life Time Cancer Screen Center Inc.
