Leila Keeler, DO, FACOOG

Faculty Organization Chair

Dr. Leila M. Keeler, DO, FACOOG , is a founding faculty member at the Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine (OCOM). She serves in several key leadership capacities, including as the Director of Simulation and  Chair of the Faculty Organization.

In her educational role, Dr. Keeler is an Assistant Professor and the Course Director for the Clinical Simulation Courses (I-IV). She also actively mentors students as the Faculty Advisor for both the Ob/Gyn Student Group and SOMA. In recognition of her contributions to the college, she received the OCOM Outstanding Leadership Award in 2025.

Dr. Keeler is a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist. Alongside her duties at OCOM, she maintains an active clinical practice as an Ob/Gyn Laborist PRN with the Advent Health Central Florida Division. She previously worked as a full-time OB/GYN for the Advent Health Medical Group.

Her prior experience includes serving as a Medical Director for AETNA/CVS in utilization management and holding significant leadership positions at other health systems. These include serving as the Provider Champion for the Robotics Program at Advent Health Waterman and as the Interim Chief of Staff Vice President and OB/GYN Department Chair at Good Shepherd Health Care System. Dr. Keeler also has extensive experience in clinical informatics, having served as a Supervising Physician Informaticist and leading an Epic implementation in a rural hospital.

Dr. Keeler earned her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Metro Health Hospital, serving as Co-Chief Resident in her final year. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Boston College.
