Celebrating OCOM’s FOMA Student Award Winners

The Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine (OCOM) proudly celebrates three outstanding students—Kenny Quezada, Vuong Tran, and Sahar Shafique—who have been honored with the prestigious FOMA Student Award. This recognition highlights their exceptional dedication, hard work, and leadership within the osteopathic medical community.

The Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA) hosts this annual award to acknowledge students who exemplify the values of osteopathic medicine through academic excellence, service, and leadership. Each of these remarkable students received a scholarship and a commemorative plaque in recognition of their contributions.

The awards were presented during the live FOMA Convention in Orlando, FL, on Saturday, February 22nd. This event brought together esteemed physicians, educators, and future leaders in osteopathic medicine, creating an inspiring atmosphere to celebrate achievements and advancements in the field.

At OCOM, we take immense pride in our students’ accomplishments, and we commend Kenny, Vuong, and Sahar for their hard work and commitment. Their dedication to patient-centered care, academic excellence, and leadership exemplifies the core values of both OCOM and the osteopathic profession.

Congratulations to our FOMA Student Award winners! We look forward to seeing all the great things they will accomplish in their medical careers.
